Vegan Wacky Cake
A simple, delicious vegan chocolate cake that's easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- all-purpose flour (1.5 cups)
- white sugar (1 cups)
- unsweetened cocoa powder (0.25 cups)
- salt (1 teaspoon)
- baking soda (1 teaspoon)
- water (1 cups)
- vegetable oil (0.33 cups)
- distilled white vinegar (1 tablespoon)
- vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch round baking dish.
- Sift flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda together in a bowl. Add water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla to flour mixture and beat until smooth, about 1 minute. Pour batter into baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack before removing from baking dish, about 1 hour.
