Vegan Wacky Cake

A simple, delicious vegan chocolate cake that's easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour (1.5 cups)
  • white sugar (1 cups)
  • unsweetened cocoa powder (0.25 cups)
  • salt (1 teaspoon)
  • baking soda (1 teaspoon)
  • water (1 cups)
  • vegetable oil (0.33 cups)
  • distilled white vinegar (1 tablespoon)
  • vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch round baking dish.
  2. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda together in a bowl. Add water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla to flour mixture and beat until smooth, about 1 minute. Pour batter into baking dish.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack before removing from baking dish, about 1 hour.
