Vegan Gravy

A creamy, flavorful gravy that is perfect for drenching over mashed potatoes or pouring over your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

  • canola oil (0.25 cup)
  • all-purpose flour (0.33 cup)
  • vegetable broth (0.25 cup)
  • tamari sauce (3 tablespoons)
  • soy milk (2 cups)
  • nutritional yeast (2 tablespoons)
  • ground black pepper (0 )

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Whisk flour, vegetable broth, and tamari into hot oil; cook and stir until there are no lumps and mixture becomes paste-like, about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour soy milk into the skillet; cook and stir until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes more.
  4. Add nutritional yeast and black pepper; stir well and serve hot.
