Sweet Banana Almond Oatmeal
A quick and easy oatmeal recipe enriched with banana and almond flavors, perfect for breakfast.
Ingredients
- banana (1 small)
- almond milk (1 cup)
- honey (1 tablespoon)
- almond extract (1 teaspoon)
- ground cinnamon (0.25 teaspoon)
- salt (1 pinch)
- rolled oats (0.5 cup)
Instructions
- Mash 1/2 banana in a saucepan; whisk in almond milk, honey, almond extract, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, and salt until smooth. Bring to a boil; stir in oats. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer until oats are tender and liquid has been absorbed to your desired consistency, about 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer to a bowl.
- Dice the remaining 1/2 banana; place on top of oatmeal. Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
