Sweet and Sour Meatballs

A delicious, easy recipe for sweet and sour meatballs served with a homemade sauce.

Ingredients

  • ground beef (454 grams)
  • dry bread crumbs (240 grams)
  • onion (1 )
  • egg (1 )
  • salt (0 )
  • pepper (0 )
  • brown sugar (200 grams)
  • water (240 ml)
  • ketchup (120 ml)
  • cider vinegar (120 ml)
  • soy sauce (30 ml)
  • cornstarch (15 grams)

Instructions

  1. Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl until well combined.
  2. Shape mixture into 1 1/2-inch diameter balls.
  3. Cook meatballs in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until evenly browned and cooked through.
  4. Mix brown sugar, water, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch together in a medium bowl until smooth to make sauce.
  5. Pour sauce over meatballs. Reduce heat to low and simmer until sauce is thick, 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
