Spicy Dorito Taco Salad
A crunchy and delicious salad with seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cheese, and creamy dressing, topped with Dorito chips.
Ingredients
- ground beef (454 grams)
- garlic powder (0.5 teaspoon)
- chili powder (0.5 teaspoon)
- ground black pepper (0.25 teaspoon)
- lettuce (1 head)
- tortilla chips (5 cups)
- Colby-Jack cheese (2 cups)
- dark red kidney beans (1 can)
- tomato (1 )
- onion (0.33 cup)
- pickled jalapeño peppers (0.25 cup)
- vegetable oil (1 cup)
- white sugar (0.5 cup)
- ketchup (0.5 cup)
- taco seasoning mix (1 envelope)
- cider vinegar (2 tablespoons)
- Worcestershire sauce (1 tablespoon)
Instructions
- Cook ground beef, garlic powder, chili powder, and black pepper together in a skillet over medium heat until meat is brown and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Break meat up into chunks as it cooks. Drain excess grease, remove from heat, and let cool.
- Toss lettuce, tortilla chips, cheese, beans, tomato, onion, and jalapeño in a large salad bowl. Fold in beef until well combined.
- Whisk oil, sugar, ketchup, taco seasoning, vinegar, and Worcestershire together in a bowl until sugar dissolves. Pour dressing over salad and toss again.
