Southern Pecan Pie
A classic Southern recipe for a rich and delicious pecan pie, perfect for dessert.
Ingredients
- eggs (3 large)
- white sugar (1 cup)
- corn syrup (1 cup)
- butter (2 tablespoons)
- vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- salt (0.25 teaspoon)
- pecan halves (1.5 cups)
- unbaked single crust pie (1 )
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Beat eggs slightly in a medium bowl. Beat in sugar, then blend in syrup, butter, vanilla, salt, and pecans. Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and continue baking until pie is golden brown and slightly puffed on top, about 35 to 40 minutes.
