Slow Cooked Chicken Drumsticks

Deliciously seasoned chicken drumsticks cooked low and slow for tender meat that falls off the bone, topped with barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

  • cooking spray (1 tsp)
  • chicken drumsticks (5 pounds)
  • Cajun seasoning (2 teaspoons)
  • poultry seasoning (2 teaspoons)
  • garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
  • salt and ground black pepper (0 )
  • all-purpose flour (1 teaspoon)
  • barbecue sauce (1 cup)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Grease a baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. Arrange chicken drumsticks in the prepared pan; sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, poultry seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Sprinkle flour on top. Spray chicken with cooking spray; cover the baking pan with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven until juices run clear, about 2 1/2 hours.
  4. Remove foil and pour barbecue sauce evenly over chicken.
  5. Continue baking, uncovered, until chicken is tender and falling off the bone, about 30 minutes more.
