Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Pistachios
A delicious and modern take on Brussels sprouts combining the crunch of bacon and pistachios with gooey Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- olive oil (2 tbsp)
- yellow onion (1 )
- Brussels sprouts (1.5 pounds)
- bacon (12 ounce)
- pistachios (0.75 cup)
- Parmesan cheese (0.5 cup)
- salt (1 tsp)
- pepper (0.5 tsp)
Instructions
- Heat 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté, stirring occasionally, until the onions are tender.
- Add remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil, then add shredded Brussels sprouts. Sauté, stirring often, until the Brussels sprouts are tender.
- Add in the crumbled bacon, crushed pistachios, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until ingredients are blended and cheese is melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve warm.
