Roasted Onions
These tender, caramelized roasted onions are a flavorful and simple side dish, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- yellow onion (4 medium)
- olive oil (2 tablespoons)

- balsamic vinegar (2 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients. Adjust the oven rack to the lowest position; preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Peel onions and cut in half.
- Toss onion halves with oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Place onions, cut-sides down, on a rimmed baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven until onions are tender and the cut surfaces are golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and adjust seasonings if necessary. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar to serve.
