Pumpkin Pie
Classic homemade pumpkin pie perfect for fall and Thanksgiving celebrations.
Ingredients
- pumpkin puree (1 cup)
- sugar (3 tbsp)
- brown sugar (1 cup)
- eggs (2 whole)
- evaporated milk (1 cup)
- ground cinnamon (1 tsp)
- ground ginger (1 tsp)
- ground nutmeg (0.5 tsp)
- salt (0.5 tsp)
- pie crust (1 )
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sugars, spices, and salt.
- Beat in the eggs, then gradually stir in the evaporated milk until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the pumpkin filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40-50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack for at least two hours before serving.
