Pumpkin Pie

Classic homemade pumpkin pie perfect for fall and Thanksgiving celebrations.

Ingredients

  • pumpkin puree (1 cup)
  • sugar (3 tbsp)
  • brown sugar (1 cup)
  • eggs (2 whole)
  • evaporated milk (1 cup)
  • ground cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • ground ginger (1 tsp)
  • ground nutmeg (0.5 tsp)
  • salt (0.5 tsp)
  • pie crust (1 )

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sugars, spices, and salt.
  3. Beat in the eggs, then gradually stir in the evaporated milk until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour the pumpkin filling into the prepared pie crust.
  5. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40-50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool on a wire rack for at least two hours before serving.
