Pumpkin French Toast
A delicious twist on traditional French toast using pumpkin puree and spices.
Ingredients
- eggs (4 )
- canned pumpkin puree (0.25 cup)
- ground cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
- ground nutmeg (1 pinch)
- whole wheat bread (8 slices)
- butter (2 teaspoons)
Instructions
- Beat eggs, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a bowl. Dip bread slices into the pumpkin mixture until coated on both sides.
- Melt 1 teaspoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place 4 bread slices into the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 3 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining bread and butter.
