Ingredients
- butter (1 cup)
- all-purpose flour (3 cups)
- sugar (3 cups)
- eggs (4 eggs)
- vanilla extract (2 tbsp)

- anise extract (1 tsp)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and anise extract if using.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Preheat your pizzelle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Spoon a tablespoon of batter onto the center of each pizzelle mold.
- Close the pizzelle maker and bake for about 30-60 seconds, depending on the desired crispiness.
- Carefully open the maker and remove the pizzelle with a fork or spatula. Let cool on a wire rack.
