Pickled Turnips

A quick and easy recipe for pickling turnips that yields delicious and tangy pickled vegetables, perfect for snacks or side dishes.

Ingredients

  • turnip (2 )
  • beet (1 small)
  • garlic (2 cloves)
  • distilled white vinegar (1 cup)
  • water (1 cup)
  • white sugar (1 teaspoon)
  • salt (1 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Divide turnips, beet, and garlic between two 16 ounce Mason jars.
  2. Combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and pour over turnips, leaving 1/2 inch of space on top. Seal jars and refrigerate for 1 week.
  3. Seal jars and refrigerate for 1 week.
