Philly Cheesesteak Phyllo Bites

A delightful appetizer featuring mini phyllo shells filled with a savory mixture of steak, vegetables, and cheese.

Ingredients

  • mini phyllo tart shells (2 packages)
  • unsalted butter (1 tablespoon)
  • diced fresh mushrooms (0.5 cup)
  • diced onion (0.25 cup)
  • diced green bell pepper (0.25 cup)
  • frozen thinly sliced steak (such as Steak-umm), thawed (6 ounces)
  • Worcestershire sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
  • cream cheese, softened (2 ounces)
  • parsley flakes (0.5 teaspoon)
  • shredded mozzarella cheese (0.5 cup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place phyllo shells on a baking sheet.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper; cook until onion is translucent and mushrooms have softened, about 5 minutes. Add steak, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce; cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, combine cream cheese and parsley in a large bowl. Add steak and vegetable mixture; stir to combine. Spoon mixture into phyllo shells; sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is brown, about 5 minutes.
