Perfectly Crisped Bacon and Pancakes

Ingredients

  • American cheese (2 )
  • white bread (2 )
  • bacon (1 pound)
  • buttermilk (1 cup)
  • flour (1 cup)
  • sugar (2 tablespoons)
  • baking powder (2 teaspoons)
  • salt (0.5 teaspoon)
  • milk (1 cup)
  • egg (1 )

Instructions

  1. Preheat the electric griddle to medium heat.
  2. Prepare the pancake batter by mixing the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter. Combine both mixtures until just mixed.
  3. Pour the batter onto the griddle to form pancakes. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  4. On another section of the griddle, place the buttered slices of bread and add cheese on top. Cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, then assemble into a sandwich.
  5. In a separate area of the griddle, lay out the strips of bacon. Cook until crispy, flipping as needed to achieve a uniformly browned finish.
