Perfect Roast Turkey

A guide to cooking juicy and flavorful turkey using two smaller birds for better results.

Ingredients

  • turkey (2 each)
  • salt (1 cup)
  • water (2 gallon)
  • herbs (5 tsp)

Instructions

  1. Purchase two smaller turkeys, ideally 10-14 pounds each.
  2. Brine the turkeys in a solution of salt and water for several hours before cooking.
  3. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  4. Place the turkeys on a roasting rack in a large roasting pan.
  5. Season the turkeys with herbs and spices of your choice.
  6. Roast in the oven until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the turkeys rest for at least 30 minutes before carving.
