Penne with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe
Ingredients
- penne pasta (1 kg)
- hot Italian sausage (0.5 kg)
- broccoli rabe (0.5 kg)
- crushed red pepper flakes (1 tsp)
- Parmesan cheese (100 g)
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the hot Italian sausage over medium heat until browned, then remove from the skillet and drain excess fat.
- Add chopped broccoli rabe to the same skillet and sauté until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add the sausage back to the skillet along with the crushed red pepper flakes and cook for an additional minute.
- Toss the penne pasta with the sausage and broccoli rabe mixture.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
