Pear Sour Cream Pie
A delicious pie made with a creamy sour cream filling and sweet pears, topped with a crumbly oat topping.
Ingredients
- pie crust pastry (1 pie crust)
- sour cream (1 cup)
- white sugar (0.5 cup)
- all-purpose flour (0.25 cup)
- egg (1 )
- vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- salt (0.25 teaspoon)
- pears (4 large)
- all-purpose flour (0.67 cup)
- rolled oats (0.67 cup)
- white sugar (0.33 cup)
- unsalted butter (5 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Roll pastry out to fit a 9-inch pie plate; transfer to pie plate. Trim any extra dough; crimp edge.
- Combine sour cream, white sugar, all-purpose flour, beaten egg, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl until blended. Fold in sliced pears; pour into pie crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- While pie is baking, combine all-purpose flour, rolled oats, white sugar, and melted unsalted butter in a bowl.
- Remove pie from oven; sprinkle with crumble topping. Return pie to oven; bake until filling is set and crust is brown, about 20 minutes more. Cool before serving.
