Peanut Butter Haystacks

Sweet, salty, and easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. This haystacks recipe is sure to become a staple in your cookie rotation.

Ingredients

  • waxed paper (0 )
  • butterscotch chips (1 cup)
  • peanut butter (0.5 cup)
  • chow mein noodles (2 cups)
  • salted peanuts (0.5 cup)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking tray with waxed paper.
  2. Place butterscotch chips and peanut butter in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir frequently, scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to avoid scorching, until melted, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir noodles and peanuts into melted peanut butter mixture.
  4. Drop dough by forkfuls onto the prepared tray. Allow to cool at room temperature until set.
