Pan Fried Onion Cheeseburger

A delicious cheeseburger topped with pan-fried onions and cheddar cheese, served on toasted brioche rolls.

Ingredients

  • ground beef (0.454 kg)
  • Worcestershire sauce (15 ml)
  • salt (0 )
  • ground black pepper (0 )
  • salted butter (28 g)
  • onion (1 )
  • sharp Cheddar cheese (3 slices)
  • brioche rolls (3 )

Instructions

  1. Place ground beef in a bowl; season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly; shape into 3 balls and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add onion; cook until starts to brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Add 3 ground beef balls to the same skillet; flatten with a cast-iron press or a heavy spatula. Divide and place onions on top of patties; cook 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Carefully flip patties over so onions are now on the bottom, press again. Top each patty with 1 slice Cheddar cheese; cook until cheese is melted and burgers have reached desired doneness, 3 to 4 minutes. Serve on brioche buns.
