Ingredients

  • Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken (1 serving)
  • five-spice seasoning (1 tsp)
  • basil leaves (1 cup)
  • guajillo chile (1 tsp)
  • sweet soy glaze (1 cup)

  • hot honey (1 cup)
  • chile crisp (1 cup)

  • onions (1 cup)
  • Champagne or prosecco or beer (1 bottle)

Instructions

  1. Fry the chicken using the double-frying method for maximum crispness.
  2. Prepare the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken by cubing the chicken thigh and seasoning it with five-spice before frying.
  3. Serve the fried chicken in gold-colored buckets and the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken in golden bowls.
  4. Offer a flight of sauces alongside the chicken, including sweet soy glaze, dynamite sauce, hot honey, and chile crisp.
  5. Add quick-pickled cucumbers and onions as a side.
