Oven Fried Potatoes
Ingredients
- unsalted butter (0.5 cup)
- red potatoes (5 pounds)
- onion (1 )
- bacon (6 slices)
- salt (0 )
- pepper (0 )
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- Place potatoes in an even layer in the dish. Sprinkle onion and bacon over potatoes, then dot with diced butter. Cover the dish with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and stir potatoes. Turn oven to broiler setting and brown until potatoes are crisp, about 5 minutes. You may need to stir every minute or so for even browning. Serve immediately.
