Oven-Baked Pork Steaks with Mushroom Soup

Ingredients

  • vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
  • pork steaks (4 )
  • onion powder (0 )
  • garlic powder (0 )
  • salt (0 )
  • ground black pepper (0 )
  • onion (1 large)
  • sliced mushrooms (2 (4.5 ounce) cans)
  • condensed cream of mushroom soup (2 (10.5 ounce) cans)
  • water (1 (10.5 ounce) can)
  • dry onion soup mix (1 (1 ounce) package)
  • Worcestershire sauce (1 tablespoon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Heat oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Brown pork steaks for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. While browning, season both sides steaks with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Transfer steaks to a 9x13-inch casserole dish; sprinkle with chopped onion and sliced mushrooms.
  3. Combine mushroom soup, water, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl; mix until smooth, then pour over steaks. Cover dish with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 90 minutes.
