One-Pan Ground Beef Stroganoff Noodles
A quick and hearty one-pan meal that combines ground beef, noodles, and a rich creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- unsalted butter (1 tablespoon)
- vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)
- thinly sliced mushrooms (1 cup)
- salt (1 teaspoon)
- diced onion (0.5 cup)
- ground beef (1 pound)
- freshly ground black pepper (0 )
- cayenne pepper (1 pinch)
- minced garlic (2 cloves)
- flour (1.333 tablespoons)
- vodka (2 tablespoons)
- beef broth (2.5 cups)
- water (1 cup)
- egg noodles (2.5 cups)
- sour cream (0.5 cup)
- fresh sliced chives or green onions (2 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients.
- Melt butter and oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, season with salt, and sauté until golden brown, about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Add onion and ground beef. Cook until meat is browned and crumbly, and onions are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Season with black pepper and cayenne.
- Stir in minced garlic and flour, then cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in vodka and allow to evaporate, about 30 seconds.
- Stir in beef broth and water and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium, then mix in noodles. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Uncover, stir, and cover again, cooking until noodles are just tender (about 3 minutes).
- Once noodles are cooked, reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream.
- Serve immediately with additional sour cream and green onions or chives if desired.
