Oil-Less Fried Turkey

A guide to cooking a juicy and crispy turkey using an oil-less fryer, perfect for Thanksgiving without the mess of traditional frying.

Ingredients

  • vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)
  • turkey breast (7 pounds)
  • Tony Chachere's marinade (0.5 cup)
  • Cajun seasoning (3 tablespoon)

Instructions

  1. Assemble the fryer according to the instructions. This may take about an hour.
  2. Rub the inside of the fryer with vegetable oil
  3. Heat the fryer until it turns dark and stops smoking.
  4. Let the turkey sit out for about 30 minutes to reach room temperature after thawing.
  5. Inject the turkey with marinade and rub it with vegetable oil and Cajun seasoning.
  6. Place the turkey in the fryer on the flavor infuser stand and lower it into the fryer.
  7. Set the timer for approximately 75 minutes and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Remove the turkey from the fryer and let it rest covered with foil for about 20 minutes before serving.
