Oil-Less Fried Turkey
Ingredients
- vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)
- turkey breast (7 pounds)
- Tony Chachere's marinade (0.5 cup)
- Cajun seasoning (3 tablespoon)
Instructions
- Assemble the fryer according to the instructions. This may take about an hour.
- Rub the inside of the fryer with vegetable oil
- Heat the fryer until it turns dark and stops smoking.
- Let the turkey sit out for about 30 minutes to reach room temperature after thawing.
- Inject the turkey with marinade and rub it with vegetable oil and Cajun seasoning.
- Place the turkey in the fryer on the flavor infuser stand and lower it into the fryer.
- Set the timer for approximately 75 minutes and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the turkey from the fryer and let it rest covered with foil for about 20 minutes before serving.
