Melon Ice Candy

A refreshing frozen treat made with cantaloupe and sweetened evaporated milk, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • cantaloupe (4 pounds)
  • water (2 quarts)
  • evaporated milk (1 12 fluid ounce can)
  • white sugar (1.25 cups)

Instructions

  1. Combine cantaloupe, water, evaporated milk, and sugar in a large pitcher, stirring until sugar dissolves; refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  2. Divide cantaloupe mixture among 20 molds; freeze until firm, about 6 hours.
