Maple Apple Turkey Sausage

Ingredients

  • lean ground turkey (1 pound)
  • apple (1 )
  • pure maple syrup (1 tablespoon)
  • salt (0.75 teaspoon)
  • dried sage (0.5 teaspoon)
  • garlic powder (0.25 teaspoon)
  • ground black pepper (0.25 teaspoon)
  • dried marjoram (0.25 teaspoon)
  • ground cinnamon (0.125 teaspoon)
  • ground cloves (1 pinch)
  • olive oil (1 tablespoon)

Instructions

  1. Combine turkey, apple, maple syrup, salt, sage, garlic powder, black pepper, marjoram, cinnamon, and cloves in a bowl; mix well. Form into 10 small patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties until no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, 3 to 4 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
