Lay's Classic Potato Chips

Ingredients

  • potatoes (1 kg)
  • salt (0.02 grams)
  • oil (0.5 liters)

Instructions

  1. Slice the potatoes thinly.
  2. Rinse the slices to remove excess starch.
  3. Dry the potato slices thoroughly on a clean kitchen towel.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  5. Fry the potato slices in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. While still hot, sprinkle with salt.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.
