Juicy Marinated Steaks

Delicious rib-eye steaks marinated in a flavorful mixture of root beer and sauces, perfect for grilling.

Ingredients

  • canola oil (0.25 cup)
  • high-quality root beer (0.25 cup)
  • Worcestershire sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • teriyaki sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • steak sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • garlic salt (1 teaspoon)
  • onion salt (0.5 teaspoon)
  • ground black pepper (0.5 teaspoon)
  • dried basil (0.5 teaspoon)
  • ground thyme (0.5 teaspoon)
  • dried rosemary (0.5 teaspoon)
  • rib-eye steaks (4 (6 ounce))

Instructions

  1. Stir canola oil, root beer, Worcestershire sauce, teriyaki sauce, steak sauce, garlic salt, onion salt, black pepper, basil, thyme, and rosemary together in a bowl.
  2. Pierce steaks in several places on both sides. Arrange in a single layer in a shallow, non-reactive dish. Pour marinade over steaks, flipping to coat both sides. Marinate in the refrigerator, 3 to 4 hours, flipping steaks once halfway through.
  3. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
  4. Remove steaks from marinade, shaking off excess moisture. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Cook steaks until beginning to firm and slightly pink in center, 5 to 7 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium.
