John Krasinski's Favorite Meatball Sub

A hearty meatball sub made with meatballs, marinara sauce, cheese, and a hoagie roll.

Ingredients

  • meatballs (1 kg)
  • marinara sauce (1 cup)
  • cheese (150 grams)
  • hoagie roll (4 pieces)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meatballs if making from scratch or use frozen meatballs.
  2. Heat up the marinara sauce in a saucepan.
  3. Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Fill each hoagie roll with meatballs, pouring marinara sauce over the top.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the filled rolls.
  6. Broil the sandwiches in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot.
