How to Season a Turkey
Ingredients
- kosher salt (2 cup)
- water (8 gallon)
- orange juice (0.5 cup)
- brown sugar (0.5 cup)
- rosemary (2 sprig)
- mixed spices (1 tablespoon)
Instructions
- For every 2 gallons of water, stir in 2 cups of kosher salt or coarse sea salt.
- Heat the mixture until combined and cooled.
- Submerge the turkey in the brine and refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours.
- Rinse the turkey thoroughly and pat dry before roasting.
