A guide on safely cooking a stuffed turkey to avoid foodborne illnesses.

Ingredients

  • Turkey (1 item)
  • Stuffing (1 batch)
  • Eggs (2 item)

Instructions

  1. Ensure turkey is thawed and at room temperature before cooking.
  2. Prepare stuffing separately or ensure it is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  3. Stuff the turkey loosely if desired, ensuring even cooking.
  4. Place the turkey in a preheated oven at 325°F (163°C).
  5. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of both the turkey and stuffing.
  6. Cook until the turkey reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the breast and stuffing. If stuffing is cooked separately, it must reach 165°F (74°C) as well.
  7. Remove stuffing from cavity after cooking and serve immediately.
