Homemade Mac and Cheese
A comforting and creamy macaroni and cheese recipe, perfect for serving as a side dish or a main meal.
Ingredients
- elbow macaroni (225 grams)
- butter (4 tablespoon)
- all-purpose flour (1 tablespoon)
- milk (480 milliliters)
- Cheddar cheese (300 grams)
- Parmesan cheese (60 grams)
- salt (1 teaspoon)
- black pepper (0.5 teaspoon)
- paprika (0.25 teaspoon)
- bread crumbs (50 grams)
Instructions
- Boil and drain the macaroni.
- Melt the butter in a pan, whisk in the flour, add the milk, and bring to a simmer. Toss in the Cheddar and Parmesan cheeses and continue cooking until the sauce thickens.
- Pour the cheese mixture over the macaroni, then top with toasted bread crumbs. Season and cook until golden and bubbly.
