Homemade Mac and Cheese

A comforting and creamy macaroni and cheese recipe, perfect for serving as a side dish or a main meal.

Ingredients

  • elbow macaroni (225 grams)
  • butter (4 tablespoon)
  • all-purpose flour (1 tablespoon)
  • milk (480 milliliters)
  • Cheddar cheese (300 grams)
  • Parmesan cheese (60 grams)
  • salt (1 teaspoon)
  • black pepper (0.5 teaspoon)
  • paprika (0.25 teaspoon)
  • bread crumbs (50 grams)

Instructions

  1. Boil and drain the macaroni.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan, whisk in the flour, add the milk, and bring to a simmer. Toss in the Cheddar and Parmesan cheeses and continue cooking until the sauce thickens.
  3. Pour the cheese mixture over the macaroni, then top with toasted bread crumbs. Season and cook until golden and bubbly.
