Habanero Hot Sauce
Ingredients
- olive oil (1 tablespoon)
- chopped carrots (1 cup)
- chopped onion (0.5 cup)
- garlic (4 cloves)
- habanero peppers (5 )
- tomato (1 medium)
- water (0.25 cup)
- lime juice (0.25 cup)
- white vinegar (0.25 cup)
- salt (0 )
- ground black pepper (0 )
Instructions
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add carrots, onion, and garlic; cook and stir until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Transfer vegetables to a blender. Add habanero peppers, tomato, water, lime juice, and vinegar; blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a saucepan and simmer over medium-low heat until a bit thicker, about 3 to 5 minutes.
