Green Chili Casserole

A delicious casserole made with layers of green chiles, cheese, and a creamy egg mixture.

Ingredients

  • whole green chile peppers (2 cans)
  • shredded Cheddar cheese (1.5 cups)
  • milk (0.33 cups)
  • eggs (4 large)
  • salt (0 )
  • pepper (0 )

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x12-inch baking dish.
  2. Line the bottom of the dish with green chiles. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of shredded cheese. Repeat layers two more times. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the chiles and cheese.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the filling is set. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
