Green Chili Casserole
A delicious casserole made with layers of green chiles, cheese, and a creamy egg mixture.
Ingredients
- whole green chile peppers (2 cans)
- shredded Cheddar cheese (1.5 cups)
- milk (0.33 cups)
- eggs (4 large)
- salt (0 )
- pepper (0 )
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x12-inch baking dish.
- Line the bottom of the dish with green chiles. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of shredded cheese. Repeat layers two more times. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the chiles and cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the filling is set. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
