Ingredients

  • bacon (0.25 pound)
  • pork chops (4 )
  • potatoes (3 medium)
  • onion (1 medium)
  • water (1 cup)
  • salt (0 )
  • pepper (0 )

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until cooked through but not crisp, about 6 minutes. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate; leave grease in the skillet.
  2. Sear pork chops in reserved bacon grease over medium-high heat until browned, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  3. While the pork is searing, chop bacon into small pieces.
  4. Add potato and onion slices to the skillet along with bacon. Pour in water, cover, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
