You just can't go wrong with a hash brown casserole, especially when the recipe comes from a Kentucky grandma.

  • sour cream (1 cup)
  • cream of chicken soup (1 can)
  • cheddar cheese (2 cups)
  • cornflakes (1 cup)
  • butter (1 tbsp)
  • salt (1 tsp)
  • pepper (1 tsp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the crushed cornflakes and melted butter, then sprinkle this mixture over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
