Grandma's Hash Brown Casserole
You just can't go wrong with a hash brown casserole, especially when the recipe comes from a Kentucky grandma.
Ingredients
- hash browns (4 cups)
- sour cream (1 cup)
- cream of chicken soup (1 can)
- cheddar cheese (2 cups)
- cornflakes (1 cup)
- butter (1 tbsp)
- salt (1 tsp)
- pepper (1 tsp)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine the crushed cornflakes and melted butter, then sprinkle this mixture over the top of the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
