Fruit Cocktail Cake

A moist and fruity cake made with a can of fruit cocktail.

Ingredients

  • cooking spray (0 )
  • all-purpose flour (1 cup)
  • white sugar (1 cup)
  • egg (1 large)
  • baking soda (1 teaspoon)
  • vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
  • fruit cocktail (1 can)
  • brown sugar (0.5 cup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. Mix flour, white sugar, egg, baking soda, and vanilla together in a bowl. Stir in undrained fruit cocktail and mix until well blended. Pour into the prepared pan and sprinkle brown sugar over the top.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown, about 40 minutes.
