Fruit Cocktail Cake

- white sugar (1 cup)
- egg (1 large)
- baking soda (1 teaspoon)
- vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- fruit cocktail (1 can)
- brown sugar (0.5 cup)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
- Mix flour, white sugar, egg, baking soda, and vanilla together in a bowl. Stir in undrained fruit cocktail and mix until well blended. Pour into the prepared pan and sprinkle brown sugar over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown, about 40 minutes.
