Fresh Shrimp Boil
Ingredients
- beer (1 can)
- onion (0.5 )
- red pepper flakes (2 tablespoons)
- chopped fresh parsley (2 tablespoons)
- salt (2 tablespoons)
- unsalted butter (2 tablespoons)
- chopped garlic (1 tablespoon)
- pickling spice (1 tablespoon)
- dried Mexican oregano (1 teaspoon)
- bay leaves (2 )
- cold water (0 )
- raw shrimp (1 pound)
Instructions
- Mix beer, onion, red pepper flakes, parsley, salt, butter, garlic, pickling spice, oregano, and bay leaves in a saucepan. Add enough cold water to fill the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add shrimp to the saucepan. Return to a boil, and cook until shrimp are bright pink and opaque, about 5 minutes. Drain and serve.
