Fresh Shrimp Boil

Ingredients

  • beer (1 can)
  • onion (0.5 )
  • red pepper flakes (2 tablespoons)
  • chopped fresh parsley (2 tablespoons)
  • salt (2 tablespoons)
  • unsalted butter (2 tablespoons)
  • chopped garlic (1 tablespoon)
  • pickling spice (1 tablespoon)
  • dried Mexican oregano (1 teaspoon)
  • bay leaves (2 )
  • cold water (0 )
  • raw shrimp (1 pound)

Instructions

  1. Mix beer, onion, red pepper flakes, parsley, salt, butter, garlic, pickling spice, oregano, and bay leaves in a saucepan. Add enough cold water to fill the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. Add shrimp to the saucepan. Return to a boil, and cook until shrimp are bright pink and opaque, about 5 minutes. Drain and serve.
