French Fried Potatoes

Crispy and golden French fried potatoes, perfect as a side dish or snack.

Ingredients

  • warm water (2 cups)
  • white sugar (0.33 cup)
  • russet potatoes (2 large)
  • vegetable oil (6 cups)
  • salt (0 )

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Stir together warm water and sugar in a medium bowl. Soak potatoes in water mixture for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove potatoes from water and dry thoroughly on paper towels. Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  4. Cook potatoes in hot oil until golden, 5 to 6 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
