Easy Microwave Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- nonstick cooking spray (1 pinch)
- white sugar (0.25 cup)
- milk (0.25 cup)
- egg (1 large)
- butter (3 tablespoons)
- vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- all-purpose flour (0.5 cup)
- cocoa powder (2 tablespoons)
- baking powder (0.25 teaspoon)
- salt (1 pinch)
Instructions
- Spray a medium microwave-safe bowl with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
- Combine sugar, milk, egg, butter, and vanilla in a mixing bowl; mix well. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Blend the flour mixture into the milk mixture until smooth. Pour into the prepared microwave-safe bowl.
- Cover and cook in the microwave on high until the cake springs back when touched, about 2 to 2.5 minutes. Allow the cake to cool for 5 minutes, then cover the bowl with a plate and invert the cake onto the plate.
