Easy Microwave Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • nonstick cooking spray (1 pinch)
  • white sugar (0.25 cup)
  • milk (0.25 cup)
  • egg (1 large)
  • butter (3 tablespoons)
  • vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
  • all-purpose flour (0.5 cup)
  • cocoa powder (2 tablespoons)
  • baking powder (0.25 teaspoon)
  • salt (1 pinch)

Instructions

  1. Spray a medium microwave-safe bowl with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
  2. Combine sugar, milk, egg, butter, and vanilla in a mixing bowl; mix well. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Blend the flour mixture into the milk mixture until smooth. Pour into the prepared microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Cover and cook in the microwave on high until the cake springs back when touched, about 2 to 2.5 minutes. Allow the cake to cool for 5 minutes, then cover the bowl with a plate and invert the cake onto the plate.
