Easy Fried Spinach

A quick and delicious side dish of sautéed fresh spinach with garlic, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • unsalted butter (0.25 cup)
  • canola oil (0.25 cup)
  • fresh spinach leaves (20 ounce)
  • garlic (8 cloves)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter with oil in a large skillet over medium heat until the mixture stops bubbling. (This allows water in the butter to evaporate.)
  2. Add garlic; cook and stir until it begins to brown, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add spinach; cook and stir until leaves are dark and about 1/4 of their original size, about 5 minutes.
