Creamy Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients

  • spaghetti (0.4536 kilograms)
  • olive oil (15 ml)
  • garlic (2 )
  • shrimp (0.567 kilograms)
  • dry white wine (1 splash)
  • heavy whipping cream (240 ml)
  • fresh basil (15 ml)
  • salt (0 )
  • black pepper (0 )
  • grated Parmesan cheese (15 ml)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes.
  2. While spaghetti is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic until soft, but not brown, about 1 minute. Add shrimp and cook until opaque, about 3 minutes. Add dry white wine, reduce heat and pour in heavy whipping cream. Simmer until sauce starts to thicken, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in chopped fresh basil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Drain spaghetti and spoon creamy shrimp on top. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
