Cranberry Sauce

The perfect cranberry sauce should have a jammy, spoonable texture and taste equally good warm or cold. It should be tart enough to make you pucker, but not so tart that your eyes begin to water.

Ingredients

  • cranberries (340 grams)
  • sugar (200 grams)
  • orange juice (120 ml)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the cranberries.
  2. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and orange juice.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the berries begin to pop and soften.
  4. Reduce heat and let simmer until desired thickness is reached, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and cool.
  6. Serve warm or chilled.
