Caramel Popcorn Balls
An old-fashioned Halloween treat that combines the sweetness of caramel with popcorn for a delicious, nostalgic snack.
Ingredients
- popcorn (12 cup)
- butter (1 tablespoon)
- brown sugar (1 cup)
- light corn syrup (0.5 cup)
- vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- salt (0.5 teaspoon)
Instructions
- In a large pot, pop the popcorn according to package directions. Set aside in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, and allow to boil for 4-5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and pour over popcorn, tossing to coat evenly.
- While warm, shape the mixture into balls and set on wax paper to cool.
