Black Magic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- unsalted butter (226.8 grams)
- white sugar (200 grams)
- light brown sugar (100 grams)
- egg (1 large)
- activated charcoal powder (15 grams)
- vanilla extract (5 milliliters)
- milk (30 milliliters)
- kosher salt (7.4 grams)
- baking soda (4.6 grams)
- all purpose flour (281.25 grams)
- chocolate chips (255 grams)
Instructions
- Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg, charcoal, vanilla, milk, salt, and baking soda, and beat until thoroughly combined.
- Add flour; mix in with a spatula just until flour nearly disappears. Add chocolate chips and mix evenly into the dough. Wrap and chill dough for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Scoop or spoon just over 1 tablespoon dough per cookie, and transfer to the prepared baking sheet. These cookies will spread; portioning 8 cookies per pan is recommended.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 13 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
