Best Overall: Bread and Celery Stuffing
Ingredients
- white bread (8 cups)
- butter (1 cup)
- celery (1 cup)
- onion (1 medium)
- chicken broth (2 cups)
- sage (1 tsp)
- thyme (1 tsp)
- salt (1 tsp)
- black pepper (0.5 tsp)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onions and celery, cooking until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine dried bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until golden and crispy on top.
