Best Overall: Bread and Celery Stuffing

Ingredients

  • white bread (8 cups)
  • butter (1 cup)
  • celery (1 cup)
  • onion (1 medium)
  • chicken broth (2 cups)
  • sage (1 tsp)
  • thyme (1 tsp)
  • salt (1 tsp)
  • black pepper (0.5 tsp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onions and celery, cooking until soft.
  3. In a large bowl, combine dried bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until golden and crispy on top.
