Berdean's Cube Steak

A delicious and tender cube steak recipe that's cooked low and slow for maximum flavor and tenderness.

Ingredients

  • cube steaks (4 ounce)
  • salt (0 )
  • pepper (0 )
  • all-purpose flour (0.25 cup)
  • vegetable oil (0.33 cup)
  • water (2 cups)
  • beef bouillon granules (1 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Season cube steaks on both sides with salt and pepper. Place flour in a shallow bowl; press steaks into the flour and shake off any excess.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and cook until browned on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour enough water into the skillet to almost cover steaks.
  5. Stir in beef bouillon and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until very tender, about 2 hours.
